Guide to buying your first knitting machine

To get you started on your machine knitting journey, we have put together this free series of classes addressing some common newbie questions – Guide to Buying Your First Machine

There are a lot of second-hand machines out there waiting for a new home, but not all of them are worthy (even if they are free!). Unless the machine has been reconditioned by a professional knitting machine technician, some work needs to be done before you can start knitting. We will address that in this free class as well.

What you will learn

  • The different classes, brands and gauges of knitting machines. This will help you decided which machine to start with.

  • Where to look for second hand machines and what to look for before you make your purchase so you don’t end up with a dud.

  • What to do with your new purchase before you knit a single stitch.

  • After completing this class, you will be ready to start learning from the Beginner Class.

This class is for you if:

  • You are curious about machine knitting and want to know more.

  • You want to get a knitting machine but are confused about the different types.

  • You bought or were gifted a knitting machine and want to get ready to use it.
