Beginner Class (4 classes $255 + $35 materials fee = $290)
Mondays 6-9pm January 30th, February 6th, 13th & 20th. This four week class covers all the basic techniques required to use the main bed of the knitting machine, including cast-on and cast-off, striping, increasing and decreasing, short rowing plus some troubleshooting techniques. This course is appropriate for complete beginners, or those who want to brush up on their knowledge.

Ribber Class (4 classes $255 + $35 materials fee = $290) to be announced.
This course introduces you to the ribber bed and expands your repertoire of stitches. It is suitable for those who are already familiar with main bed techniques. You will learn ribber cast-on and cast-off, shaping, ribs structures, basic cables, plating, jacquard and racking.

Ribber Intensive – ($285 + $35 materials fee = $320) to be announced.
This weekend course introduces you to the ribber bed and expands your repertoire of stitches. It is suitable for those who are already familiar with main bed techniques. You will learn ribber cast-on and cast-off, shaping, ribs structures, basic cables, plating, jacquard and racking.

Garment Class (6 classes $270 + $95 materials fee)

Cable Class (one day class) to be announced ($130 + $25 material fee = $155)
We’ll start with a simple 2 over 2 cable and take it from there. Students can work at their own pace and get as complicated as they like. Direction and encouragement will be given for larger more complex cables including traveling stitches and main bed to ribber transfers. By the end of the day not only will you have accumulated a small cable library, you will be comfortable with using the transfer tools, cabling and maybe even designing your own cables! Knowledge of main bed and ribber essential.
Technology Intensive – to be announced.
($695 per person or $3000 for a group of six) This course presents students with the basic principles of weft knit construction. Lectures and lab work will allow the student to develop skills in identifying different knit structures, understand sweater garment construction and learn industry standard communication practices.
Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-3. Beverages and snacks provided. Please bring a lunch.
